IBM engaged Clarity Partners to partake in Cook County’s Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) initiative to replace the County’s legacy system with the latest Oracle E-Business Suite software in order to increase efficiency and security of back-office processes. The County’s current system will be overhauled with state-of-the-art technology that will help various departments share information and work more efficiently with one another.
Clarity is partnering up with IBM to deliver implementation services and application managed services to the County to support the implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite Financials, Human Capital Management, Hyperion Planning, and Business Intelligence. Clarity will implement modules that deal with human resources, payroll, purchasing, inventory, and projects and grants. The modules will be deployed at Cook County offices as well as the County Health and Hospital System and the Forest Preserve District.
After the implementation of the new system, the County will benefit from a common platform that is utilized across all of its departments. Furthermore, the County will reengineer its business processes so that users can leverage all of the capabilities of the new system to increase efficiency. The accurate and consolidated data that will be produced will help guide the County to make good business decisions and in turn lead to measurable savings for the County and its residents.
