Chicago, IL – In 2013, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County ("FPDCC") engaged Clarity Partners, LLC ("Clarity") to implement and manage their eCommerce initiative for permits. As a result of this project, FPDCC now offers its customers the option to browse an online catalog of Forest Preserve facilities and purchase picnic and event permits using a familiar shopping cart interface. The new eCommerce function also allows the FPDCC to offer additional permit add on items, such as tents and speakers as well as indoor room rentals. As of June 2014, FPDCC has sold over 6,000 permits generating revenue close to $1 million.

Clarity’s role in the initiative is to manage the project, which includes overseeing content migration, testing, and training. The eCommerce platform selected by the district is the ActiveNet parks and recreation management system from Active Network Inc.
