Chicago, IL – Clarity Partners has begun the second year of its contract with the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) to support the ongoing software application needs of the Chicago Police Department and other Public Safety functions.
Clarity’s role has been expanded to include Geographic Information Systems (GIS) development, Data Warehouse development, and Mainframe Retirement. Clarity’s expanded role also includes the development of new mission critical systems to support Chicago’s hosting of the NATO summit in May of this year.
Clarity’s multi-disciplined team of technologists at Chicago Police headquarters and the 911 center are responsible for developing new custom software applications in addition to maintaining service levels on a portfolio of over 250 existing production systems. Clarity is supporting an expanded range of current and legacy technology platforms including Enterprise Java, Oracle APEX, .NET, Oracle Database, MS SQL Server, Business Objects, Adobe Flex, and Oracle Business Intelligence.
About the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications
The Chicago OEMC was established in 1995 and was significantly expanded after September 11, 2001 in order to consolidate city emergency and public safety services within a single city agency. The OEMC includes the Chicago Public Safety Information Technology division, which consolidates information technology functions for Police, Fire, and other emergency services.
