Chicago, IL – The Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) awarded a comprehensive multi-year $4 Million services contract to Clarity Partners LLC to support the ongoing software application needs of the Chicago Police Department and other Public Safety functions.
Clarity’s Multi-disciplined team of technologists at Chicago Police Headquarters is responsible for developing new custom software applications in addition to maintaining service levels on a portfolio of over 250 existing production systems. Clarity is supporting a range of current technology platforms there including Enterprise Java, Oracle APEX, .NET, Oracle Database, MS SQL Server.
Clarity coordinates all of its 24x7 incident responses, consultations, and development project tasks under a comprehensive IT Service Management framework. To best serve this purpose, Clarity has licensed and implemented management software and methodologies from its long standing strategic partner, Computer Aid Inc. (CAI) When not responding to specific incidents and development requests, the Clarity team is proactively and strategically working to improve the stability, performance, maintainability, and utility of existing systems.

The Chicago OEMC was established in 1995 and was significantly expanded after September 11, 2001 in order to consolidate city emergency and public safety services within a single city agency. The OEMC includes the Chicago Public Safety Information technology division which consolidates information technology functions for Police, Fire, and other emergency services. The OEMC includes 911 Emergency Services, 311 City Services, and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) The OEM is Chicago’s liaison with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Illinois Office of Emergency Management, and other emergency management agencies.
